Effective June 23, 2026. The version in effect for the Snupix beta.
Privacy Policy
We keep Snupix deliberately light on data. We collect what we need to get you to a shoot and to keep you in the loop — and not much else. Here's the plain-language version.
What we collect
- Your phone number — to sign you in (a one-time code) and to send shoot reminders.
- A first name (optional) — so hosts and other participants can say hi.
- An email (optional) — a backup way to reach you and to recover your account.
- A coarse SF area — the neighborhood you pick, never a precise address.
- Which shoots you register for — so we can show your tickets and send reminders.
- Your acceptance of the waiver — the version and a timestamp.
Photos and Instagram
During the beta, Snupix does not host your photos. If you choose to connect Instagram, we show a few of your recent posts by reading them at view time — we do not copy or store the image files, and we never show your handle or link out. You can disconnect at any time, which removes that connection.
How we use it
- To sign you in and run your account.
- To reveal a shoot's exact meeting spot once you register — visible only to registered participants.
- To send exactly two reminders per shoot (a confirm and a day-of "on my way").
- To keep shoots safe and to follow up on reports.
Who can see what
Your exact location is never collected. A shoot's exact address is shown only to people who register for that shoot — it's enforced at the database level, not just in the app. Hosts can see who's registered for their own shoots (first name and any connected photos). Other participants see a first-name "who's coming" list — never your phone number or email.
Who we share with
We use a small set of trusted service providers to run Snupix — for example, our database and authentication host, our text-message and email senders, and our hosting platform. They process data on our behalf under their own terms, and only to provide the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. Waiver-acceptance records are retained for up to three years, consistent with the agreement you accept. When you delete your account, we remove your profile data promptly, keeping only the minimum required by law.
Deleting your account and data
You're in control. You can delete your account and personal data at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app, or by emailing privacy@snupix.com. Deleting removes your profile, your registrations, and any connected Instagram link. We confirm when it's done.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under California law), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to know how it's used. Email privacy@snupix.com and we'll help.
